Throughout all that we go through, it is hard to keep looking forward. We hold onto those memories that try to keep us behind, memories that are both good and bad. For me, I remember how I felt in each moment and it does hurt to do that to myself. I had so much joy doing, well, nothing with someone once. What we have to do though, is look at our situation logically. For I am nothing to them. And quite frankly, who cares? Logically, why waste our precious thoughts and feelings on those types of situations when we could be focused on the reason God put us on this earth to begin with. The truth of the matter is we do have people out here who do love and care for us who think we are something wonderful. They see our future and how it is on the right path. They remind us to keep looking forward, to keep focus on what lies ahead. Here is some food for thought: "No dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us." -Phillipians 3:13-14 NIV |
