One night, during my final semester of the "best four years of my life," some friends and I were up late hanging out. It started as an evening like any other. Nothing spectacular about it, which is probably what sparked our interest to be spontaneous. We started talking about the "what ifs" and looking back at our college career in hopes that we could make these last few weeks last forever. Then, driving to the beach was brought up. At two in the morning. Of course, we didn't weigh the pros and cons, think of our responsibilities or rather think about it at all. Instead, we each agreed to go and found ourselves frantically packing random things in order to make it to the beach in time for sunrise. As a girl, I made sure to pack my bathing suit, toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, etc. The boys on the other hand, packed random items under the pressure (one even packed a frozen pizza... obviously that didn't workout). Needless to say, we hopped in the truck and made our way on our impromptu beach adventure. Three or so hours later and singing to old mixed CD's as to not waste our phone batteries, we had arrived. We made it in perfect timing to see the sunrise. IT.WAS.MAGICAL.
With the World Cup and the 4th of July, it seems as if everyone was wearing red, white and blue this summer! People gathered at bars, pools and house parties to celebrate our country. Watch parties brought many together and out of their daily routine. Snapchat stories were taken over with people cheering and yelling as the U.S. kept advancing. We lived and breathed America. I especially got into it more than usual; I wore patriotic dresses to work and high wasted shorts and tanks out. I even had flags on my nails and toes (courtesy of Jamberry). They were fun, eye-catching and a great way for my mom and I to have "girl time" without a trip to the salon.
What are Jamberry nails you ask? Stickers. Well, sort of. They're a fun a way to do your nails without having to wait for them to dry; in fact, no nail polish needed! How do you use them? Easy Peasy!
Told you it was easy!!
