They say don't feel, to stop caring so much and ask when we are going to grow out of it. They say to move on, to stop crying and ask why we have to be so emotional. Most of all, they tear down all of these very important personality traits, those of which make up a person. They ask us to be stronger like everyone else. That's the problem- to conform to everyone else. Why should we put aside our feelings, our sense of expression, so that we can fit into the mold of another persons being? And what makes them stronger just by keeping everything bottled up? We are human. Plain and simple. We are meant to mess up, to fall too hard and to get up and do it all over again. We are meant to enjoy the beauty of the world, but have to go through some of the ugly parts to get there. We can't all have thick skin, never shed a tear or "quickly" get over whatever it is we are faced with at the time. We were created to be different, on purpose. Take a look around, and you will see that everyone is completely imperfect and different in their own ways. It's awesome. Here are four reasons why you should always show why your feelings matter.

Can you imagine if we all had the exact same point of view on EVERYTHING? The world would literally be the most boring place ever. No voices heard, no differences to be had, no beliefs or sense of expression. Learn to value your beliefs and not be afraid to voice them. It's so important to believe in something or stand up for yourself from the bullies of the world. If you think about it, they do it. Why can't you?

The way we are treated matters How many of you have been cheated on, broken up with and ignored? At least one of those have been the outcome of some of our relationships in the past. If you are like me, you probably didn't stand up for yourself in most of those cases because you were afraid of what they were going to think of you. In all honestly, a tiny part of your mind was probably focused on the minimal chance you both would end up together again, where they would get to control every situation. Why would we want that? Oh ya, we were in love. We were in love, and they hurt us and that is the exact reason why we should get to share this piece of information with them. They got to give their bogus break-up reasoning, so we should be able to cry or yell (or both) towards them to share the impact they've left on our over-sized hearts. Sure they can say that it is being over dramatic, but the alternative is living with the "what if" and not standing up for yourself. It's important to let people know that what they have done is not okay. |

It's important to recognize how much we take for granted and try to spend less time doing just that.

This could be meeting new people, meditating on your own, joining a gym and pushing yourself to see how strong you really are or trying new foods! The skies the limit. Try keeping track of the experiences that really impacted you, by writing it down so you can look back over it. If you get stuck in a busy spell at work and are finding it hard to get out and do new things, reread over the ones that really changed your life. There is a good chance it will be just what you need.
